Know a little bit more

When it comes to the place ""Kai Tak"", it must be the Kai Tak International Airport and the delicious food in Kowloon City District that is famous at home and abroad.

Kai Tak International Airport was officially opened in 1925. The airport building and runway are located in the busy city with high-rise buildings and in the Victoria Harbour. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides. It must fly low between the mountains and the high-rise buildings at the same time, so it is known as One of the ten most dangerous airports. After the completion of Chek Lap Kok Airport in 1998, Kai Tak Airport was closed at the same time. The old airport has been converted into the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. In addition to berthing cruise ships, the rooftop park at the end of the runway of the old airport is also not to be missed. You can get a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour from the park.

Kowloon City has a long history, and the unique atmosphere of the old city can be felt in the streets and alleys. Many ethnic groups from all over Asia have taken root here, where you can find fresh Southeast Asian herbs, fruits and spices, and taste spicy Thai cuisine.

Today, in Kai Tak, you can no longer see the thrilling pictures of aircraft movements. Instead, there is a prosperous international cruise port. There are more opportunities in the future and it is the most beautiful scenery under the Lion Rock.
